My final collection ‘Circus’ explores the vivid colours and graphic shapes that we associate with the circus which, historically, were designed to be recognised from afar to draw a crowd.
As well as exploring graphic shapes I have drawn parallels between the circus, kinetic art, and my background in kinesiology and massage therapies. Taking inspiration from Alexander Calder’s mobile sculptures which rely on balance, my collection is exploring connection, support and fluidity of movement. I wanted to capture the circus performers body as their muscles and network of nerves work to create breathtaking performances that appear effortless and sometimes defy gravity.
I invite you to enjoy my Circus..!
